Ernesto Robles was born in San Francisco, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Santa Barbara, a Master of Science from the University of Texas and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

He spent the majority of his career as a New York based investment banker and Washington D.C. based economist during which he conducted business throughout the world.

Those extensive travels and experiences are reflected in his writing. With his first novel,The Malthusian Catastrophe, Ernesto presents a non-traditional corporate thriller that exploits the complexity of today's socio-political environment as a backdrop to an exceptionally entertaining story. 

He currently lives in New York City.
